Web projects across Västra Götaland, from a real base in Skara

DeMenso is a Swedish design and technology studio with its registered address in Skara. Västra Götaland is our regional working area. We can plan and deliver much of a web project remotely and arrange an on-site visit when a particular task needs one. The scope and working method should be clear before we make a proposal.

What does working across a region mean in practice?

We can start by understanding the goal, the current website and the people who use it. From there we look at content, design, development and any accessibility work that belongs in the project. Only after the scope is clearer do we decide which discussions can happen remotely and whether a workshop, meeting or photography is worth arranging on site.

We work from our base in Skara with organisations across Västra Götaland. We plan remote work and any in-person sessions around the needs of each project.

If your organisation operates from several places in Västra Götaland, it helps to identify who owns the content, who approves decisions and whether every location needs the same place on the website. Those questions can shape the site's structure before a technology choice is made.

Which part of the project needs help?

One organisation may need a new website and better content. Another may need work on an existing WordPress store or help identifying barriers in a digital service. We start by defining the task instead of assuming that every regional enquiry calls for the same package.

Find the more specific starting point

Skaraborg has its own page because it is the area directly around our base and answers practical questions that a regional overview cannot. If your project is close to Skara, start with how we work in Skaraborg; if it spans a wider part of Västra Götaland, tell us which locations and teams the website needs to serve.

Questions about a regional project

Do we need to be close to Skara to work with DeMenso?

No. A project can begin and largely proceed remotely. If a task would benefit from an on-site visit, we plan it together.

When might a meeting in person help?

A workshop, a working session or photography may benefit from meeting in person. The project determines whether that is useful; it is not a mandatory step.

Which language do we use?

You can write in English or Swedish. Calls and meetings are held in English.
