Accessibility report

The DeMenso Sverige website meets WCAG 2.2 Level AA within the scope of this review.

Review conclusion

Date of assessment and update: 6 October 2026. The review was carried out by DeMenso Sverige Handelsbolag. This update extends the review of 5 October 2026 to the new animation layer and interface elements.

Result: 42 criteria met. The remaining 13 criteria do not apply to the website’s content and functionality.

No unmet WCAG 2.2 Level A or AA criteria were identified within the scope of the review.

Assessment scope

The review covers the Swedish, English and Polish versions of the DeMenso Sverige website: home, services, projects, company information, service area, blog, contact and information documents.

The assessment covers navigation and menus, links, forms and their messages, search and filtering, image enlargement, reading preferences, reading assistance, contents navigation and cookie settings.

The update of 6 October covers entrance animations and scroll-linked effects, page transitions, the loading screen on the first visit, cursor effects on photos, the floating navigation shown while scrolling, the animation switch on the home page, the quick brief in the contact form and the letter from the founders.

Assessment method

DeMenso Sverige assessed the website against all 55 WCAG 2.2 success criteria at Levels A and AA. The assessment combines content and structure review, automated axe-core checks, contrast and target-size measurements, and manual keyboard, focus, form, menu, dialog and reading-setting checks.

Checks cover layout at a width of 320 CSS pixels, increased text spacing, portrait and landscape orientations, and text enlargement to 200%. Open menus and dialogs, form errors and messages after setting changes were also assessed.

For the update, axe-core 4.13.0 scanned all 158 addresses (WCAG 2.0–2.2 A and AA rules plus target size) after animations finished; reflow at 320 CSS pixels and 1.4.12 text spacing were checked on all 158 addresses; text was enlarged to 200% in the reading panel; and keyboard Tab navigation was tested with the floating navigation shown. Pages were checked with animations on and with reduced motion.

Assistive technologies

Assistive-technology testing was conducted on 5 October 2026 across all Swedish pages and functions. It used NVDA, VoiceOver and built-in Android and iOS screen readers and accessibility features. Testing covered Chrome, Edge and Safari on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, using Huawei devices, iPhone, iPad, a Windows laptop, MacBook and iMac.

On 6 October 2026 the owners tested the elements added in this update with screen readers: the floating navigation, the animation switch, the quick brief and the founders’ letter. The elements were also checked for names, roles and states in the accessibility tree. After the test, the logo and the menu were placed in one header region and the footer form was given its own name. The reading order and the way the site is operated did not change.

Detailed results

Keyboard operation covers menus, forms, filters and dialogs. Focus remains visible, including after cookie-setting changes. Enlarging text to 200% and increasing text spacing do not cause loss of content or functionality. Field labels, error messages and filtering results are accessible to assistive technologies.

Animations are not needed to use the website. You can turn them off with the “Turn off animations” button on the home page, in the Reading settings panel (Animations: Less) or with your system’s reduced-motion setting. The floating navigation never covers the focused element, and the “Enlarge” label next to the cursor closes with Escape. During the update we fixed the contrast of dimmed text in the scroll-fill effect (1.4.3), the contrast of the floating navigation’s border (1.4.11), the wrapping of long words in animated headings with increased spacing (1.4.12) and the floating navigation stepping aside for the focused element (2.4.11). We also tidied the page regions: the logo belongs to the header region, and the contact form in the footer has its own name, different from the form on the contact page.
